Detailed Information
Granulator blades are critical cutting components in plastic recycling plants that crush processed plastic pieces into granules. Working as fixed and rotary blade pairs, they cut the material to the desired size and ensure homogeneous granule output.
Blade Profile Types
- Flat Granulator Blade: Standard flat cutting surface. The most common choice for general-purpose PE, PP and PET plastic crushing lines.
- Angled Granulator Blade: The angled cutting edge provides lower energy consumption and a clean shearing cut. Ideal for thick-walled materials and high-capacity lines.
- Segmented Granulator Blade: A segmented structure for flexible mounting on large-grid machines. A damaged segment can be replaced individually, reducing maintenance costs.
Steel Types
- D2 / 2379 (DIN 1.2379) Tool Steel: High-chromium cold-work steel, HRC 58–62. The most popular choice in the plastic recycling sector; superior wear resistance delivers long life on intensive production lines.
- HSS (High Speed Steel): HRC 62–64. No performance loss when processing abrasive-filled plastics (glass fiber, CaCO₃); provides the longest blade life.
- Carbon Steel: HRC 55–58. An economical and reliable option for standard, budget-friendly applications.
Mounting Types
- Bolted Mounting: Secured to the machine through bolt holes. Easy disassembly and reassembly; fast blade changes.
- Slide-in (Channel) Mounting: Seats into the machine's channel system. More stable connection in high-vibration applications.
Applications
- Plastic crushing and granulator machines — PE, PP, PET, PS, ABS
- Plastic recycling lines
- Bottle, pipe, cap and crate crushing machines
- Raw material preparation and granule production systems
- Film, sheet and profile crushing lines
NOTE: Custom manufacturing is available for sizes, hole positions and profiles beyond the standard dimensions listed in the table.
